PhytoLab receives a certificate by AOAC Int., Gaithersburg, MD, USA for the successful participation in an international collaborative study for the determination of ephedrine alkaloids in dietary supplements and botanicals by high performance liquid chromatography/tandem mass spectrometry.

Besides PhytoLab nine more high-quality laboratories from USA, the Netherlands, Canada and Taiwan participated in this study. Test material, used for this study have been raw herbal materials, different tablets and capsules, as well as commercial energy drinks for sportsmen. The results have been published: W. Trujillo, W. Sorenson, J. of AOAC Int. Vol. 86, No. 4, 2003, p. 657 -668. PhytoLab now offers the determination of ephedrine alkaloids by means of LC-MS/MS as a service for industry.
