PhytoLab's membership in the German Medicines Manufacturers Association (BAH).
The German Medicines Manufacturers Association (BAH) currently represents 323 manufacturers of medicinal products. The BAH promotes its political interests on behalf of the entire pharmaceutical industry with respect to the German Federal Government, the German Bundestag and the German Bundesrat. The BAH stands for two fundamental ideals in terms of its political activities and support for its member companies and these are the concept of self-medication and the concept of reimbursable drugs - i.e. prescription medicines - with the exception of patented preparations.
Officially recognized in accordance with § 14 of the German Drug Law and accredited in accordance with EEC Directive 93/99/EEC, PhytoLab is an external testing laboratory with state-of-the-art equipment and highly qualified personnel, which specialises in the analysis of plants and plant-based products. The scientists employed by PhytoLab are dedicated members of various committees within the pharmaceutical and food industries, in trade associations and the Federal German Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices (BfArM).
