Pesticides can find their way into herbal products as a result of their use in fields, in the protection of stocks or by cross-contamination. Every year, PhytoLab tests well above 20,000 samples of dried herbal products, herbal extracts and finished pharmaceuticals for pesticide residues. Alongside pesticide screening using the DFG S19 multi-method and LC-MS/MS method, we also test substance groups using selectively developed individual methods – thus complying with even the most sensitive requirements, for example those in place for organic foods or baby foods.

Experience and diligence

When it comes to tea or tea-like products, there are not always clear indications for the occurrence of residues of plant protection products, which is why long-standing experience with these products is particularly important. As part of the nature network®, we boast this wealth of experience and will provide you with reliable support in assessing and validating your findings. Our diligence is your peace of mind!
