PhytoLab was founded in 1993 as a spin-off of Martin Bauer's Quality Control/Science Department. Ever since, our unique expertise and comprehensive range of services have also been available to customers outside the Group.

Our initial core services were trace analysis, quality control, regulatory dossiers, expert reports, and comprehensive consulting concerning herbal products. We then expanded our services to include the evaluation of the safety and efficacy of herbal products and proactive risk management for herbal drugs. In 2005, we added a comprehensive range of ultrapure phyproof® reference substances that we now market worldwide.
