Growing to Meet Demands

PhytoLab comes into being in 1993, from the Quality Control / Science department of Martin Bauer GmbH & Co. KG: the 43 employees now offer extensive services outside the nature network® too. Right from the start, trace analysis, quality control, approval dossiers, expert opinions and comprehensive advice on herbal products have been cornerstones of the range of services we offer; these being later supplemented by the assessment of efficacy and safety of herbal products and a proactive risk management for herbal drugs.

Our success in the market, the growth of the nature network® and the successive expansion of the scope of testing, particularly in the field of contaminant analysis and the development of new analytical methods, demand a significant expansion of our premises. In 2004, PhytoLab takes over a new building, at its headquarters in Vestenbergsgreuth, with an additional 1,200 m2 of laboratory space.

From 2005, we expand our services by offering an extensive range of ultra-pure phyproof® reference substances, which we market world-wide.

Today, as part of the nature network®, around 180 PhytoLab employees serve our clients who operate world-wide.
