Pyrrolizidine alkaloids

PA analysis at its highest level – safety and security for your herbal products

Plant-based raw materials may be contaminated by weeds containing pyrrolizidine alkaloids (PA). Commission Regulation (EU) 2023/915 and the European Pharmacopoeia (Ph. Eur., section 2.8.26) impose stringent limits for PAs in food and herbal medicinal products.

Compliant with ISO 17025 and GMP – our accredited PA test methods offer a means of analysing raw materials, herbal teas, spices, extracts or finished products with maximum sensitivity and reliability. With exactly the right scope of testing for your respective market and the highest level of consulting expertise for your individual concerns.
