Food Analysis at PhytoLab: 5 Working Days as the New Standard

Whether pesticides, pyrrolizidine alkaloids or mycotoxins: PhytoLab now offers a standard turnaround time of 5 working days for a broad portfolio in food analysis.

Why turnaround time matters

Analytical results are the starting point of every release decision. Until they are available, goods sit in the warehouse, further processing is delayed and the entire supply schedule shifts. For manufacturers of food products and food supplements, laboratory turnaround time is a factor with direct financial impact.

PhytoLab now offers a standard turnaround time of 5 working days for the most common testing parameters in food analysis. Analytical quality remains unchanged: PhytoLab operates as an ISO 17025-accredited testing laboratory.

Which analyses does this apply to?

The 5-day turnaround time applies to, among others:

  • Pesticide analysis
  • Pyrrolizidine alkaloids (PA) and tropane alkaloids (TA)
  • Mycotoxins
  • Chlorate and perchlorate
  • Elemental analysis
  • HPLC- and GC-based analyses, e.g. vitamins, residual solvents, allergenic fragrances, caffeine, fatty acids, steviol glycosides
  • β-Glucan

Express services are also available for particularly time-critical requirements.

What this means in practice

Shorter turnaround times have a direct impact on release cycles, storage duration and planning reliability. Companies that regularly test raw materials or finished products notice the difference over the course of a year: less tied-up capital, faster responsiveness to supply bottlenecks and less pressure on downstream processes.
